Tenacity by DIANNA LEA
When I was younger and learned about hieroglyphics for the first time in school, I was quite impressed. All the symbols represented different meanings, either a word, an event, or a person. I wanted to create some of my own. I had dozens of symbols. They all had their own meaning. Most of them were silly things I couldn’t say out loud. My sister is a dork. I have a crush on so and so at school. Some had one-word meanings. Love, truth, determination. Over time I moved on and forgot about my symbols. But one always stuck with me and would find itself scribbled on a sheet of paper here and there. Ironically, it was the symbol of determination. For tenacity.
Now, as an adult, still holding that symbol near to my heart and reflecting on the journey life has taken me on, I know this is something I want to share with others. A symbol, a sign to represent never giving up. Focusing on your goals and not letting the little bumps and hiccups wear you down. You got this!
